Steps for Life in the News

The first annual Steps for Life - Kingston walk took place on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at J.R. Henderson Public School. Over $20,000 was raised to support families who have been affected by workplace tragedies.

What is Steps for Life?

Workers who die of a work-related injury or illness leave behind families, friends and co-workers devastated by this tragic loss. Thousands more are living with the reality of a life-altering injury or occupational disease. Threads of Life currently supports more than 2,500 family members across Canada affected by workplace tragedies.

Annually, Threads of Life holds the Steps for Life five (5) km walk fundraiser in communities across the country to support the work they do. The country-wide walk represents a united effort to change the future for all those affected by workplace tragedies. Participants can walk as individuals or as part of a team. Each participant is encouraged to fundraise themselves by asking people to sponsor their walk.
