Summer Safety Days
This program is an educational event that is arranged by Kingston: Partners for a Safe Community. The program brings together various safety agencies to provide local students with the opportunity to learn different injury prevention strategies geared towards the summer months. Past agencies include Kingston Fire and Rescue, KFL & A Public Health, Utilities Kingston, Think First, and Greater Kingston Area Safe & Sober Community Alliance.
The Summer Safety Days event incorporates some of the “Healthy Living” components for both the Grade 7 and 8 curriculums. This event has received very positive feedback from teachers and participating students.
