Steer Clear of Drugs
This program was formulated after Racing Against Drugs and developed by Kingston: Partners for a Safe Community (KPSC). This event takes place every two years to provide Grades 4, 5, and 6 students in the Kingston area the opportunity to learn about healthy, drug and alcohol-free lifestyle choices and injury prevention. It is attended by more than 2,000 KFL&A area students. The program itself is a group of live, interactive “Pit Stop” stations, which provide different opportunities for Police, Fire, and other community Health Professionals to tell their story. As a finale the students participate in a racing finale using remote control cars.
